• Tight Timeline: The booth’s build schedule was demanding, necessitating reduced installation time and minimal on-site labor.

• Clean Wiring: Halo-lit logos required an invisible power solution to avoid unsightly wiring and bulky hardware.

Traditional mounting methods were not sufficient to address these challenges, requiring an innovative approach.

The Idea

Magnalign Cleats were selected as the ultimate solution in combination with Magnalign Anchor SEGConnects for this complex installation. As the newest addition to the Magnalign product family, the Cleats offered enhanced strength and functionality while seamlessly integrating with existing Magnalign technologies.

The Magnalign Cleats provided:

• Simplified Installation: The patented magnetic cleats offered the same seamless power connectivity as PowerConnects and Anchor SEGConnects while delivering extra strength for larger, heavier signage elements.

• Seamless Power and Stability: Magnetic connections routed power directly to the LEDs, eliminating visible wires and ensuring clean, professional results.

• Fabric Integrity: The SEG fabric required only small, hidden holes for installation, preserving its flawless appearance.

• Streamlined Workflow: Most of the preparation work could be completed in the shop, leaving an easy snap-in process for on-site installation.

• Versatility Across Logos: The combination of the Magnalign Cleats and the Magnalign Anchor SEGConnects worked well for both the thin-stroked letters and the large, heavy logo bug, ensuring consistency across all elements.

The Solution

The Edwards Lifesciences halo-lit logo installation was completed using Magnalign Cleats in conjunction with Anchor SEGConnects for added flexibility:

1   Shop Preparation:

• Cleats and Anchor SEGConnect backers were pre-installed on the hanging sign frames.

• The power routed through the magnetic cleats for seamless LED integration.

• The halo-lit logo bugs were fitted with Cleats and the letters was fitted with Anchor SEGConnect Cups to enable secure and precise alignment.

2   On-Site Installation:

• The SEG fabric graphics were installed on the frames with precision-cut, hidden holes for the cleats and anchors.

• The logos were simply snapped into place, perfectly aligned on the first attempt due to the magnetic connection.

• Power was seamlessly connected through the Magnalign system, eliminating the need for visible wires or external hardware.

3   Final Touches:

• The heavy logo bugs were secured using the Magnalign Cleats ensuring enhanced stability and durability.
